The Halo egg cup was inspired by the samara seeds of sycamore trees. The symmetrical v-shaped wings of the seeds are echoed in the egg cup’s pure symmetry. When multiple pieces are stacked, a rotational spin is created that resembles the movement of the seed when in flight.
The name “Halo” draws attention to the way the egg is circled and elevated by the design.
