Consumerism is evolving and now, more than ever, the focus is rightly on sustainability. The integrity of a product is crucial so this design was centred around sustainability and quality, without compromising on the experience.
“Every design has a story to tell”
The vision for the design was influenced by eco-systems, evolution and how sustainability impacts these. Key elements are referenced through the leaf and bamboo.
The up-cycled bottles signifies repurpose and resilience, with inspiration from the powerful stories of Bacardi – el ron del murcielago (the rum of the bat) and the El Coco palm; “The Bacardi company will survive in Cuba so long as the coconut palm lives”. Subtle references have also been made to pay homage to the murcielago.
